Sunday 27 September 2015
Watch people launch themselves onto a giant air bag (or have a go if you’re brave enough), see multiple British and European trials bike Champion, Danny Butler, lead the Extreme Mountain Biking Show and join thousands of people of all ages and abilities on the biggest traffic-free bike ride in the West Midlands, taking place on a 3 mile circuit in the heart of Coventry. New for this year is the chance to ride through The Herbert Art Gallery and Museum as well as cycle a traffic-free ring-road.
The FREE Sky Ride Coventry event on Sunday 27 September has lots of free family activities, including circus skills workshops, face painting and pedal-power your own smoothie. Enjoy entertainment along the way from ‘ Puncture Kit’ – a drummer who literally turns his bicycle into a drum kit and ‘Solo Circus’ a cyclist on stilts.
Register for Sky Ride Coventry and you’ll be able to collect a free Sky Ride reflective bib on the day and you’ll also be entitled to a free expert bike check (worth £14.99) from Halfords. Bikes are available to hire on the day. The event is organised by British Cycling, Sky and Coventry City Council.
It is free to take part. You get a free bike check on the day if you sign up. There are also bikes to hire on the day in Broadgate from £5 for children, £6 for adults.
