Coventry Sports Trust has been an established training organisation since 1998 and has specifically developed quality lifeguard courses for staff and members of the public. It currently provides Royal Life Saving Society UK Lifeguard training for more lifeguards than any other organisation in the City.

Courses are run throughout the year, normally at Coventry & Sports Leisure Centre but it is possible to provide training at other venues on request. Courses are conducted for the National Pool Lifeguard Award including First Aid at Work.

Coventry Sports Trust employs trainers and assessors who are fully qualified and extensively experienced in their fields and all have held positions in professional life guarding and management supervisory roles.

During the month of May, the Lifeguards & some Lifeguard qualified Supervisors from Coventry & Foleshill Leisure Centres took part in a National Event called the ISRM & IQL Lifeguard Triathlon, which involves them demonstrating their rescue skills/ CPR skills & completing a theory paper.

This is the second time we have entered the competition; last year, Coventry Sports & Leisure achieved a place in the top twenty centres list. We have improved on last year's results and have made the top ten - finishing in 9th place out of the 47 competing teams!
